LeGrand – vocals Brides of Destruction bandmates Nikki Sixx and Tracii Guns knew London LeGrand could sing. The twentysomething vocalist proved he had chops and style during an audition in which he nailed covers of Motley Crue’s “Live Wire” and Sweet’s “No You Don’t.” The question, however, was whether the newbie could pull it off live. To make sure, Sixx booked a gig opening for Mudvayne and Taproot to see how he’d handle a rowdy metal crowd. LeGrand struts his stuff on Here Come the Brides (Sanctuary Records), a gloriously gritty album of sneering, hook-filled gutter pop delivered with fuck-you swagger. Drawing as much from Sabbath and the Sex Pistols as from Cheap Trick and early Kiss, the Brides’ addictive debut is raw, dark, sexy, melodic and utterly electrifying. Produced by Stevo Bruno and mixed by Steve Thompson (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn), the album breaks from the gate with lead single “Shut The Fuck Up,” an unnervingly intense musical middle finger thrust at double-talking politicos. The Brides take off from there, slamming out songs of seduction (“I Don’t Care”), mortality (“Brace Yourself”) and rage (“I Got A Gun”). Among the album’s many highlights are the Queen-like harmonies of “Life” (with drummer Scot Coogan on lead vocals), the raunchy blues of “Natural Born Killers” and the heart-melting “Only Get So Far,” which Sixx originally penned for Grammy-winning country couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. “We’re not trying to fit into any current scene,” says Guns. “The goal was to write great timeless rock songs and we accomplished that. We’ve created a sound with a ring all its own. People are gonna freak when they hear it.” BoD on the Jay Leno Tonight Show!

| Nikki. WTF Happened at the Sparks, NV Show???? First I see Traci throw his guitar, then I see you come over and throw your bass at the audience and then there's a kid lying in a pool of fucking blood on the floor?!?!? What's up, man? |
| Here's what Sludge has on the whole affair: whoooooooo! here's a fun email! Just got back from the BOD show in Sparks, NV @ The New Oasis. Part way thru the set Traci threw his guitar out to the crowd. Next thing you know, Nikki goes over to Traci's side of the stage and LAUNCHED HIS FUCKING BASS AT MACH 10 speed into the crowd. He then jumped down with Traci and all hell fucking broke loose. After the crowd was pushed away by security and Nikki was pulled back on stage (giving whomever he hit with the bass the middle finger and saying "Fuck You!") there was a kid on the floor lying in a pool of blood... and he was not moving. I am not dramatizing this at all... it was a very uncomfortable situation. People were pissed off at what had happened. This was an all ages show, by the way. A few minutes go by, paramedics are there and they revive the kid from what I heard. I saw him get up and his head was FUCKED. 10-15 minutes later the roadie comes up and says they are going to finish the show. He blamed the incident on the moshing that was happening. WTF? Everyone was joking "Just as long as they quit throwing shit at us (the audience)". Sad to say, BOD should have called it a night. They never recaptured the energy. It wouldn't be a tour if Nikki didn't jump into the crowd to fight somebody at one point or another. What's up with the Motley guys in Nevada? You have Vince punching hookers and Nikki throwing his bass at some kid's head. I'd stay the fuck out of their way next time they roll through Nevada. More on this when we get it. |
| I was on Nikki's side of the stage more towards the
back. There were maybe 200+ people at the show and it WAS advertised
very well on 2 radio stations all week. Not too mention a live remote
from Reno's biggest station from 5pm - 8pm. There were 2 goth kids there. Pale faces, heavy black make-up. One of them was the victim. Yes, Nikki did throw his bass into the crowd. We were all shocked at what we saw. Now for the bad news. On our ticket stubs they read "No moshing. No Video Camera's. No Audio." Well, I saw about 6 video cameras on that floor. And the ones moshing were teenagers and one REAL STUPID adult who I was praying would get his teeth knocked out. From what I saw, Traci handed his guitar to the crowd (Amen did this stunt, too) and he had a smile on his face and I could read his lips saying "Ok. Give it back." Then I saw Nikki come over and throw (not toss) his bass at the crowd. He then jumped down into the crowd and was pulled back. By the way, London was on stage looking like he had no clue what was going on. I saw the kid that was hit. I don't know if it was Nikki's bass that did the damage or Traci's guitar. But this kid was fucked up. Bad. After Remsa (paramedics) came in and got him off the floor, people were cheering because everyone thought he was dead. The roadie came out and said "He's gonna get a few stitches and maybe a backstage pass..." then he said "keep the moshing under control" (all of this why they were mopping the blood off the floor). I think he was bitching at security who did NOTHING AT ALL about the moshing. Not a fucking thing. And they had some BIG motherfuckers wearing security shirts. So the band starts up and so does the moshing. What a joke. They did a couple more songs, 2 LA Guns tunes and Live Wire. London couldn't even finish that one. His voice was toast. Poor guy. He is a great performer. I looked in the paper the next day and there wasn't shit about the incident. But I know somebody got it on video. I just got back from the Reno and S.F. shows
That's a 100% accurate account of what happend - And I talked to the
video guy for The Brides and he said they DID get it on film. I'm tired
I've barley slept for the last 3 days it was a tough and expensive road
trip. Chad - was that the Somoan looking dude with the
camera that you're talking about? He was a rather energetic individual. |
| Yeah, that was a very accurate account of what
happened (BTW, I'm Hawaiian/Shoshone...not Samoan!) I almost took a picture of the kid laying on the floor but I swear to god, I thought he was dead! He was laying there with a vacant look, while this massive puddle of blood just kept pouring out of his head. I've got pictures of security freaking out surrounding him and holding him down.  I've attached a picture of the Remsa paramedics working on him. After he was bandaged up, Sixx came out and gave him a hug (and probably begged him not to sue him!)
A funny thing was when the paramedics got there,
so did some cops in full riot gear holding some strange weapons. I tried
to take a picture of them but they made it very clear that I shouldn't
be photographing them!!!

This is bullshit, if Nikki throw the bass in to the crowed he should pay for his mistake,I love the band and motley, But im sick of all this Axl rose bullshit,we are just fans we dont deserve to be treated this way.I hope the kid sues and gets what he deserves.He probably had nothing to do with the fans grabbing Traciis guitar.Second of all why is Sixx giving everyone the finger? This dude needs to get laid.I also believe there is no place for a mosh pit in a BOD show.

| First off I love Nikki Sixx! Second I wasn't there in Reno! But I'll tell you what a guitar doesn't belong in the crowd at all! Granted if it swings into the the crowd and hits someone, its all good! But if it was lunched at the crowd that is wrong! If the guitar was thrown and hit me or someone I loved there would be hell to pay! I don't care if its Nikki Sixx, or any other rock star! You hurt me or my family Shit is going down! Now if i'm in the front row and the bass swings and hits me by accident shit that what its all about! But I will bet Nikki will be charged with assult by a deadly weapon! If the reports are true! On a side note Anytime you are hit in the head and wound is opened you bleed alot trust me I've seen it! I just hope everything turns out ok for both parties involved! |
| See, we have a problem here. The reason why the kid got his head busted is because people like him dont know how to be polite and give back what is not theirs. The Brides dont have time for games. The fans should respect the band enough to know when its time to stop the immature bullshit. If the kid would have given back the guitar to Traci, this would have not happened. Traci even asked Nicely to give back his guitar. He was nice enough to let the fans touch it. Also, The Brides have a time limit to perform. They do not need fans to fuck with them. So Sixx took care of the problem by teaching the boy a lesson. If this continues, there will be more bloodshed. And it will go on until the fans start respecting the band and follow orders. The kid deserved it. That is not your guitar. You dont take. You give back when told so. Unless of course you want a nice fucking big bass breaking your face another time. So keep on fucking around. And see what happens. The lesson to be learned here is........ If you respect, you wont have Basses smashed in your fucking faces. |

WTF.I know flipping someone off is like say hello in the rock world, but that wasnt what he was doing this time around,I stll love Nikki and the band but this makes me sick,how do justfiy putting someone in the hospital? | First, you're entitled to your opinion, as all of us are. That's why this forum is here. However,this is why they're called ACCIDENTS. In Milwaukee, both Nikki and Tracii threw their geetars out into the audience. It was just enough for some of us to touch it, and they pulled them back. No one grabbed for it to keep it. They held on to the strap and kinda teased us a few times with it. I wasn't in NV, but from the sounds of it, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It wouldn't be the first concert where some jackass got wasted and was a jerk (there were quite a few around me in Mil.and there were almost a few fights). Things just got a bit out of hand. Again, wrong place, wrong time. It was an accident guys!!! Allister(?) himself posted that he was okay. If he's okay with it, why is everybody still bitchin?? GEEZZZZZ |
| Allright I was there and seen everything Tracii threw his guitar in the crowd (don't ask me why he just did) and when the kid wouldn't give it back they both started MOTHERFUCKING each other back and forth - so Tracii jumped into the crowd to get his guitar then Nikki seen what was happening and ran across the stage and threw his bass at the kid like a javilin and YES it was on purpose. A RIOT broke out with the FANS - BODYGAURDS and CLUB SECURITY and when it finally got broken up NIKKI told the crowd to FUCK OFF and they left the kid was out cold in a pool of blood and when they finally woke him up after about 10 minutes he had a big cut under his eye and he raised his fist that he was alright. | HERES WHAT REALLY HAPPENED AT THE SPARKS NEVADA SHOW. I have read alot of the post about this show and not one of you fuckers know what really happened but yet you guys would rather spread fuckin rumors. I read the kid heckeld the band, someone tried to take Traci's guitar from him and so on. ITS ALL BULLSHIT !!!!! Heres the real story since I was standing two feet from the kid that go hit and I was four feet from Traci. During the song Traci saw two very young kids dressed in goth/maud standing there just watching the show. Both seemed not to be into the show but whatever they paid thier money. Traci having a good time rockin out noticed that these kids where just standing there while everyone around them was having a great time. Traci got my attenttion along with about four others standing in front of him and started to point to these kids to try to get us to get them fired up and enjoy the show. Within seconds of this Traci started to flip the kids off and in return one of them fliped Traci off. Traci then in return threw his guitar at the kid. Right then Traci jumped into the crowd and went for the kids. Now it gets a little crazy in what happened at this point. When Traci threw his guitar I reached up and grabed the neck. Two or three others grabed the body. I never saw it hit the kid. It seemed to me that the guitar whent high. Like I said I was standing right next to the kids. Im 6'2 a big guy and I had to reach up over my head to grab the guitar. The kids where around 5'6. Like I said I never saw Traci's guitar hit the kid nor did I see if it completely missed his head. A battle insued between the crowd only over the guitar not with Traci as one post says (lets get it right folks !). I was able to keep hold of the neck and got a hand on the body. I was battling very hard to get Traci's guitar back to him when a roadie came up and we got the guitar loose. I then looked over and saw a group of people pushing and shoving a couple of feet from the area where the kid originaly was. No one as far as I could see was hurt at this point. Not to say he wasnt hurt at this point but just what I could make of it. Nikki and Traci where both there and someone else had Nikki's bass. Right then people started to yell "everyone back up" I walked up behind Nikki and looked over his shoulder to see one of the kids lying on the floor knocked out cold with a one foot halo of blood around his head. Some roadies grabed Nikki and Traci and told them to get backstage now. At this point securty was in there checking the kid out. He was out cold for a few minutes then came too. The paramedics showed up checked the kid out and cleaned him up to see a two inch gash under and to the side his right eye. They bandaged him up which a this point Nikki came back out and talked to the kid. The band came back out a few minutes later and that was it. So to all you rumor mongers so sorry you cant make up stories anymore because this is whay really happened. On a brighter note the band kicked ass that night. |
| This is what Tracii had to say. Crock O Shit,,,,,,,, Nikki threw his bass to scott sorry from Amen just before he jumped in the crowd to find me. Problem was ,,Nikki jumped right over me into the crowd then I had to jump in to tell him I wasnt in the crowd. Nobodys instrument hit anyone but Scot. The kid ripped his eyering out of his eye dodging flying fists and then ended up on the bottom of the pile. in a nice puddle of eyering blood. Just another night on the first leg of the tour. This aint a classic rock tour,,, some nights its brutal in the crowd, and there is usually one fuctard starting shit in the crowd. At almost every show someone got punched shoved or bludgened with some idiots out of controlness. We tried to get with the people that got injured and gave them swag,beer and a SANDWITCH Long Live Rock and Roll SC |
